“Tomorrow, today will be yesterday. A statement of hope. Storms don’t last, but people’s courage and spirit do. Whatever we may face, the trials and tribulations, it’s not your challenges, but how you overcome them.

Growing up in a strict military family, music was my solace. My parents gave me In The Wake of Poseidon by King Crimson and Aqualung by Jethro Tull as a young kid. My influences are Frank Zappa, Stevie Wonder, and George Benson. I was always fascinated by the construct of songs and compositions. Mike Oldfield and Frank Zappa proved that you could write anything your mind allowed you to dream.

I started playing guitar at age 3 making up silly one fingered tunes that have actually survived today. Also discovering piano, bass, and xylophone in my early childhood. Upon moving to Grove Oklahoma, where I graduated, I was 11 when I started playing trumpet and eventually progressed to the rest of the brass instruments. Having keyboard and guitar knowledge, I was able to see a whole spectrum in arrangements, how individual notes formed chords.

Started my 1st band in high school named Cold Ethyl, after the Alice Cooper song. We played Barbecues and house parties. I had an acoustic act called Essary Raw, which was essentially an unplugged, acoustic act that traveled everywhere and played with the likes of my cousin Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts.

The year Adam Lambert won American Idol, I was a preliminary judge in Joplin Missouri for Fox 14. After many band efforts with the bands: That Damn Machine, American Blue Collar, as well as many cover bands, I decided to use my own name as an album artist.

I met Mark Trueack in 2017 at RosFest in Gettysburg PA. We connected immediately. Having Aspergers Syndrome, my personality tends to embrace special people with special personalities.

We communicated regularly with surprise phone calls twice a month. He recognized my passion for the stance of UPF as well as a passion for the music. I am currently working on a new album titled Asteroid.

That tells the story of overcoming extreme obstacles in my life.
