CLAIRE VEZINA

“Sans nature, on n’est rien du tout. Cette humble pensée devrait sans cesse nous habiter, guider nos choix de vie. Paix, amour et musique.”
“Without nature, we are nothing at all. This humble thought should guide our choices of living, our actions. May the music give hope and force to build a better world.”
Canadian artist Claire Vezina is a songwriter, trained pianist and vocalist who started her career as a singer in various bands in the local Quebec club circuit in the mid to late eighties. In 1993 she landed a record deal with Sony music, who released her debut album “Claire Vezina”, a production that was made in close cooperation with Aldo Nova and that also featured a song she co-wrote with Nova and Jon Bon Jovi. Three years later Vezina returned with her sophomore production “Demi-Tour”, this time around releasing the album on her own label.
Following this Vezina paused her career, and when she returned in 2003 with “Alambic”, released by the Canadian Disques Artic label, it was as an artist pursuing a style of music with closer ties to progressive rock. She continued in this vein on her fourth and so far most recent production, “Cyber Neptune”, which was issued by the Canadian Unicorn Digital label in 2008.
