Song Profile – Being of Equal (20:48)
The 20-minute epic. This is a hypothetical zoomed-out time-lapse view of human development into our current society. We started out vulnerable to the world’s dangers, so we learned to become apex apes. Yay, now we don’t fear for our lives from the natural elements. But then we took it further, and created societies entirely removed from connection with the natural world. That society revealed itself to be dystopic, so we look back on the days of connection to nature with rosy glasses. In reality, we need a balance; balancing nature and our ambition, and balancing our resources with nature and our fellow humans. We’ve gone through a lot, there’s still time, but we’d better develop a solid understanding of who we are to motivate us to live up to that challenge pronto.
