The band was disappointed when I told them, just 5 minutes before the show.<\/p>\n<p>Truey said; lads we can do this &#8230; Nick please announce that the show will be a bit different and that Arnold is sick&#8230;so we have no sax player&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>So I did&#8230; the crowd was a bit disappointed too. However, yes, I came on stage last bar of the intro&#8230; But sadly cannot remember any detail of the gig, played like in trance&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tDavid Hopgood<\/p>\n<p> I remember the recording session, just trying to play like John Bonham really, hitting hard, but there were subtle sections, groove sections and that drum explosion near the end as well. A lot of fun! Although we didn&#8217;t get to play it every time, when we did it went down very well indeed.<\/p>\n<p>The basic structures and melodies for the keyboard parts had been extremely well laid down and constructed in the demos that Sean had originally done for Unitopia&#8230;so all I had to was re-interpret these for myself to suit my stylings and ways of looking at music..<\/p>\n<p>So some changes were of course made and I hoped that Sean would approve!<\/p>\n<p><a style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.damanek.com\" target=\"_blank\">Damanek.com<\/a>\u00a0&#8216;Guy Manning, Marek Arnold, Dan Mash&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\tTim Irrgang<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s not much to tell about the (recording) session. I did the whole UPF album on one night after work at Matt&#8217;s (Williams) studio. It was the first time I&#8217;d heard a lot of the tunes.
