PHILL SOKHA

(Drums)

“I am very concerned about the current situation in the world with climate change, the contamination of the earth, as well as the war in the Donbass (Ukraine) in which innocent people die every day because of politics. I am concerned about the attitude of people towards the environment, the giant companies that pump resources from the bowels of the earth (oil), pollution of the oceans, deforeststation, making the life of animals and fauna unbearable. If humanity does not come to its senses, we will die in the near future. We must understand that we must care for and protect nature, not destroy it for our materialistic needs.”

Phill Sokha started taking music lessons at the age of 6 years on violin and drums. For a number of reasons, Phill stopped violin lessons years later and focused on drums. Inspired at a young age by prog metal bands Death and Cynic, he formed with his friends first band “X-Systems” (instrumental prog-death). His later influences were the great prog rock and fusion masters like Frank Zappa, Allan Holdsworth, Chick Corea & Virgil Donati, which made a huge impact on his music style. He is currently a band member of Pushking Community band (Rock) & CosMoS band (progressive rock).
