1. Pianted in the unique, futurist artwork of Ed
Unitisky, Planetary Overload ~ Loss, is a master
    work by UPF; created by
    songwriter/vocalist/producer, Mark “Truey” Trueack
    and songwriter/producer/multi-instrumentalist
Steve Unruh. This is prog rock pushing limits – a
journey through 3 phases spread across 75 minutes
in the form of 12 songs! (And this is just Part 1 of a
    double album!)

Instead of taking us to familiar, ethereal prog rock
realms, ‘Loss’ forces us to lift our heads
towards the realities of climate change taking place
    around us.

However musically and lyrically it is not all doom
and gloom. Right from the start the Loss anthem
lifts our spirits with the refrain, “Loss brings us
together. Loss takes us closer than before …”

It prepares us for an epic and diverse musical
experience consisting of some of the finest prog
rock musicians in the world – Steve Hackett, Steve
Unruh, Christophe Lebled, Jerry Marotta, Marek
Arnold, Mark Franco, Raf Azaria, Nick Magnus, Hasse
Froberg, Gordo Bennett and Matt Williams (and
    others just as accomplished)!

‘Planetary Overload ~ Loss’ has everything from
choral symphonies, rapturous flute, electric and
acoustic lead guitar solo’s that rival David Gilmour,
to jazz-infused suites of grandeur and heart
wrenching melodies that never lose sight of the
message: Our planet is suffering and needs our
    urgent help!

Mark Trueack and Steve Unruh with the help of the
finest musicians in progressive rock, have
composed a brilliant and meaningful, musical
master-work that demands the listener to stop what
they’re doing and listen very closely. I found myself
listening many times because the musical diversity
and density of this album is extraordinary! If asked
who I would compare it with – I couldn’t really think
of another prog rock band! However – Yes, King
Crimson and Emerson, Lake and Palmer are bands
that have sometimes crossed my mind while
listening to ‘Planetary Overload ~ Loss.’

    Personal stand-outs are, ‘Loss (Anthem)’ ;
‘Cruel Times’ ; ‘Stop Time’ ; ‘What If’ ‘Dying to be
    Reborn’ and ‘Seeds of Life.’

  2. hello UPF,
I’m so glad you guys are still making music even though unitopia is over. I also like your website, but I can’t stop thinking: where did they get the background? is there any way I could see the picture somewhere?

    • Hi Eric, we want to take on on all of the world but it always comes back to expense, we are working on strategies to get there!
      Thank you for your support
      We will stay in touch
      Cheers
      Truey

  3. Truey,

Thanks for the invite to follow along with UPF. Like many others I heard Unitopia at the “end” and wished you guys had 10 more albums…. it looks like my wish may come true with the rising of UPF. All of us are looking forward to some awesome music!

Should you guys ever make it to Oregon, USA… PLEASE remember us little guys down in the south end of the state and do a night or two here in Medford, OR. And should that not happen, and should you be “Just Passing Through” contact me as I would love to discuss music with you guys… again, thanks to be part of the new UPF efforts.

    May your efforts be blessed,
    Hersh
